ZIPCAR APPOINTS ANDREW BARCLAY AS MARKETING DIRECTOR OF ZIPCAR UK
Appointment harnesses Barclay’s strong retail marketing background to grow UK

LONDON, March 20, 2012 – Zipcar, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZIP), the world’s leading car sharing network, today announced the appointment of Andrew Barclay into the role of Marketing Director of Zipcar UK. Barclay’s appointment comes at a key time for Zipcar, as they look to focus on and expand their UK operations following their successful integration of Streetcar in December 2010.
In his new role as Marketing Director for Zipcar UK, Barclay will report directly to Rob Weisberg, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Zipcar, and will be responsible for building and implementing strategies to drive acquisition, revenue growth and brand awareness in the UK market. He will be based at Zipcar’s London head office in Wimbledon.

Barclay has previously held a number of senior level marketing roles across a number of blue chip organisations. Prior to joining Zipcar, Barclay was Head of Brand, Marketing & Retail at Best Buy. He was also previously Head of Retail Marketing at Paddy Power PLC, and Head of Marketing & PR at Moss Bros PLC. In addition to Barclay's appointment, Zipcar has brought in two agencies to bolster the UK marketing support. Zipcar has appointed PR agency Weber Shandwick and media agency Universal McCann, as it is poised to launch a £1 million spring advertising campaign in and around London.
